(Please stay tuned to see what I'm up to at my home studio!)

STUDIO INFO & LATEST NEWS

As of 6/30/24, the studio no longer seats painters,

and is transitioning to a home studio!

Announcement sent via e-mail 4/30/24:

I am reaching out to my customers to let you know that the pottery painting studio at 406 Main Street, New London will be closing this summer. You can still come in to shop and paint pottery or attend classes through June 30, 2024. Final kiln firings will then occur in early July. The website will be the best place to look for any further information as we get closer to the final days at the studio.

I have greatly enjoyed my time creating with you all! Please stay tuned to The Creation Place website as details about my future pottery offerings are determined and announced.

Thank you for your support of The Creation Place over the past five years!

THE HISTORY:

We held a successful Grand Opening on Saturday, June 1 , 2019 -- and we haven't looked back since!  We set our normal studio hours  as Sunday 12-4, Monday 12-6, Thursday 12-8, Friday 12-8, and Saturday 12-5.  No reservation was necessary for pottery painting, but pre-purchase of tickets for classes was normally required.

Eight months into our first year, COVID-19 hit.  Like you, we closely followed the ever-changing news about the world-wide Coronavirus pandemic, and were sensitive to concerns about transmission via public gatherings.  As such, in March 2020 we discontinued walk-in pottery painting, and introduced to-go pottery kits, in an effort to follow social-distancing recommendations -- we wanted to be part of the solution, not part of the problem!

In June 2020 we re-opened the studio to limited table reservations, socially-distanced classes, and continued offering Pottery-To-Go Kits.

In December 2020, we stopped hosting classes and encouraged more use of Pottery-To-Go Kits, due to NH's increasing counts of positive cases, and we limited in-studio painting to one group seated at a time.

In March 2021, we packed up the 207 Main Street location for our move to 406 Main Street -- and then waited, and waited, and waited for renovation delays to end so we could fully re-open to in-studio painters, which we did on November 24, 2021!  In the meantime, we continued offering the popular Pottery-To-Go Kits which helped sustain us during pandemic and relocation pains.
