Pottery and Art Studio, Classes, Parties, and More
STUDIO INFO & LATEST NEWS
HERE'S THE LATEST:
We were so excited to re-open to walk-ins at our new location at 406 Main Street, New London on November 24 2021! No reservations -- just come on in! Painters will be seated on a first-come basis, up to 90 minutes prior to closing time. (If there are no painters in-studio, we may close up to one hour early.) Classes and private parties are also back in full force, so check the 'Classes' page or call the studio to book your own private event. (NOTE: Walk-ins can't be seated during classes or private parties.)
We held a successful Grand Opening on Saturday, June 1 , 2019 -- and we haven't looked back since! We set our normal studio hours as Sunday 12-4, Monday 12-6, Thursday 12-8, Friday 12-8, and Saturday 12-5. No reservation was necessary for pottery painting, but pre-purchase of tickets for classes was normally required.
Eight months into our first year, COVID-19 hit. Like you, we closely followed the ever-changing news about the world-wide Coronavirus pandemic, and were sensitive to concerns about transmission via public gatherings. As such, in March 2020 we discontinued walk-in pottery painting, and introduced to-go pottery kits, in an effort to follow social-distancing recommendations -- we wanted to be part of the solution, not part of the problem!
In June 2020 we re-opened the studio to limited table reservations, socially-distanced classes, and continued offering Pottery-To-Go Kits.
In December 2020, we stopped hosting classes and encouraged more use of Pottery-To-Go Kits, due to NH's increasing counts of positive cases, and we limited in-studio painting to one group seated at a time.
In March 2021, we packed up the 207 Main Street location for our move to 406 Main Street -- and then waited, and waited, and waited for renovation delays to end so we could fully re-open to in-studio painters, which we did on November 24, 2021! In the meantime, we continued offering the popular Pottery-To-Go Kits which helped sustain us during pandemic and relocation pains.
(Please check out the Pottery-To-Go Kits page for more information on that offering.)
Resin Art & Jewelry,
Unique Gifts & Home Goods
Stop by and take a look at our selection of Christine's resin art, as well as hand-painted signs, unique gifts and home goods. The pigmented resin is used for wall art, or is combined with other items to create both art form and function. This includes re-purposing things to give them new life! For example, check out these resin art clocks, made from an out-dated computer software DVD and an old record album.
